Background for Cristina and the Verse-Hopper Box
Cristina was a girl whose imagination fizzed like a science experiment. One rainy Saturday, while exploring her grandmother's attic, she found a peculiar, old music box made of dark, swirling wood and inlaid with tiny, mother-of-pearl stars. It had a little golden key, but when she wound it up, no tinkling melody played. Instead, a low, wondrous hum filled the air. Cristina noticed a small, rainbow-colored crystal on the lid. Curious, she gently pressed it. Whoosh! A shimmering portal, swirling with all the colors of a prism, unfurled right next to a stack of old books. It looked like a giant, wobbly soap bubble, and it smelled faintly of cinnamon and starlight.
