ZunoTales - Magical Storytelling for Kids
Trust & Safety

Built safe for children, by design

ZunoTales was made for children aged 3–12. Every story and every illustration passes through layered safety checks before a child ever sees it — and your child's privacy is protected at every step.

Six checks behind every story

Safety isn't a single filter — it's layered. Here is what happens automatically every time a story is created.

Screened before writing

Before a story is written, the idea is reviewed for unsafe themes and copyrighted characters. Anything inappropriate is gently turned away or reshaped into a safe, original alternative.

Reviewed after writing

Once written, the complete story is read back by a child-safety reviewer tuned to your child's age — checking for anything frightening, unkind, or not age-appropriate before it is shown.

Every illustration checked

Each picture is verified to match its page, be fully child-friendly, and show correct, natural characters. Anything that doesn't pass is automatically redrawn.

No copyrighted characters

ZunoTales never recreates trademarked characters. Requests for them are reshaped into original, generic equivalents, so every story is genuinely your child's own.

Private by default

Stories are private to your family or classroom unless you choose to share them — and sharing runs the safety review a second time before anything becomes public.

Children's privacy protected

ZunoTales is designed around children's privacy from the ground up, in line with COPPA and FERPA principles for families and schools.

Your child's privacy comes first

We collect only what's needed to create and save your child's stories. Accounts are managed by a parent or educator, and children's data is never sold or used for advertising. You can review or delete your data at any time.

What we never do
  • We never sell or rent children's personal data.
  • We never show third-party advertising to children.
  • We never keep uploaded child photos — they are processed and discarded.
  • We never make a child's story public without your action.

You're always in control

Parents and educators decide who can create, what gets shared, and what stays private. Nothing leaves your family or classroom without your say-so.

Common questions from parents

Is AI safe for my child to use?

ZunoTales is built specifically for children, so the AI is tightly guided and every story is screened before and after it's written, plus every illustration is reviewed. Children never chat freely with an open AI — they create guided, reviewed stories.

Can my child see something scary or inappropriate?

Our layered checks are designed to catch unsafe themes, frightening content, and inappropriate images. No automated system is perfect, so we also let you keep everything private and report anything of concern, which we review quickly.

What data do you collect about my child?

Only what's needed to create and save stories. Accounts are managed by an adult, children's data is never sold or used for ads, and you can delete it at any time.

Who can see the stories my child creates?

By default, only your family or classroom. A story becomes public only if you choose to share it — and it passes the safety review again before it does.

Honest about our limits

We work hard to make ZunoTales safe, but no automated system is flawless. That's why stories stay private by default, you stay in control, and you can report anything that doesn't feel right. We take every report seriously.
