At ZunoTales, the safety and well-being of children are our highest priorities.

1. The Walled Garden Approach

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, ZunoTales is a "Walled Garden" ecosystem. Every story generated by our engine passes through multiple layers of safety filters designed specifically for K-12 environments to ensure content is positive, age-appropriate, and free from harmful themes.

Children do not receive an unrestricted chat experience. The product narrows creation into story modes, reading levels, approved profile fields, and family or classroom libraries so adults can guide the experience from the first prompt through the finished story.

2. Parental & Educator Controls

In compliance with Apple's guidelines for the Kids category, we have implemented Parental Gates on all areas of the application that allow for external communication, social sharing, or account management. This ensures that an adult is always in control of the experience.

Account settings, subscription management, external links, and sharing controls are designed for adults. Educators using ZunoTales in class can choose activities around reading, writing, vocabulary, and curriculum topics while keeping student output within a moderated storytelling workflow.

3. COPPA & Privacy

We are fully committed to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent, and we never share data with third-party brokers or advertisers.

4. Reporting and Moderation

Every story features a report button. Our moderation team reviews reported content within 24 hours to maintain a safe and creative community for everyone.

Reported stories are checked against our Moderation & Content Policy. If content does not meet our standards, it can be removed from public surfaces while the private family or classroom account is reviewed for additional action.
